Privacy Policy

Short version
We do not run third-party advertising. We do not run behavioral tracking. We do not sell user data. The only data we collect is minimal first-party analytics (page views, referrer source, country-level location) used to inform editorial planning. No personal identifiers are stored.
What we collect
- Page views. Aggregated by URL. No individual session tracking beyond a single page load.
- Referrer source. The site that linked to us, if any. Used to understand inbound traffic patterns.
- Country-level geolocation. Derived from IP at request time, then discarded. We do not store IPs.
- User agent. Browser and OS family for editorial planning (mobile vs. desktop reading patterns).
What we don't collect
- No third-party advertising trackers.
- No behavioral profiling, retargeting pixels, or cross-site tracking.
- No personal identifiers (name, email, account info).
- No social-media share-tracking pixels.
Cookies
We do not set tracking cookies. Browsers may set local cookies for the site's preferred-color-scheme detection (light/dark) and accessibility settings; these are first-party, non-tracking, and opt-out via your browser's site-data controls.
Email contact
If you email us at editor@whatsthebestcalorietracker.app, your email address is stored in our editorial inbox until the inquiry is resolved. We do not add email addresses to mailing lists, do not send unsolicited communications, and do not share inbox contents with third parties.
Your rights
Because we do not collect personal data, the GDPR / CCPA right-to-access and right-to-deletion controls do not have substantive content to apply to. If you have a specific privacy question, email editor@whatsthebestcalorietracker.app.
Changes to this policy
If our data practices change, this page will be updated and the change logged in /changelog/.
